ok guys.
Being new at this, i'm not sure if this is normal. A piece of my frogspawn fell off yesterday and another seemed to be soon. and a button polyps came off the rock. What do i do? is that mean is dead? is this normal? do i take it out so it doesnt die in my tank? or is it propagating? and if so dow do i attach it to a rock? i shoved the button polyp in a hole in a piece of rock but keeps coming out and float away and laying on sand bed.
if you could advise i greatly appreciated
thanks

my tank was established a month ago. I haven't lost any corals as of yet. thank god. I have a 38 gallon with 150w lighting. protein skimmer, canister, 40lb LR, 25lb LS. 2 power head on each corner on the back. Everything is fine. All water specs is perfect. PH 8.3, calc 420-450, amonia 0, nitrite & nitrate 0. temp fluctuates from 78-84.
My button polyps and frogspawn is at the center of the tank away from direct flow of the powerhead.
a piece of the button polyp fell off when i was moving it around. i still see it open up on the sandy bottom, but just floating around.
i have 5 fish living.
hope this help

i heard is common too, but what i do with the piece? how do i attach it to a piece of rock? someone told me that soft coral you can

[hr]
the bottom with toothpick and tie the toothpic to a piece of rock and in couple of weeks it will attach it self to that rock and you can then take out the tooth pick. can i do that with this one? what about the piece of frogspawn?

this is the location where the pieces broken off from. as you can see, is away from direct water flow. Super Glue? regular super glue you buy at walmart?

super glue gel. Some soft corals won't glue. If the polyps slime at all then the super glue won't work. You may want to place the frag in a calm spot and wait for it to grab some sand then try glueing it.

1 yellow tang in a 40 gal not good? LFS told me it should be fine as long is not any smaller tank. Should i move the yellow instead of the powder brown into the 58? or just move both in there?
