AI manual
"The next screen will prompt you to turn on or off Lunar Cycle for this timer. This feature will slightly dim or brighten the LEDs to simulate a full moon, half-moon, etc. based on the day of month. You would probably never use this feature for timers set up during the daylight hours. It is more appropriate for use with a night timer when LED intensities
are set very low or completely off."

However you can run the intensities at whatever is pleasing to you, part of the allure of the module IMO. However in looking at some of the night dive pictures available I have seen that the water is very blue when not illuminated by flashlights but rather by the moon and stars. So that is why I picked to have the white light off. Again personal preference.

I don't believe I have my old pics from diving so I can't honestly say I remember the true color under the water, I do however remember being scared poopless due to the possibilities of reef sharks in the vicinity! I can see where it would be blue tho, If I choose to get this model of lights, what size would y'all recommend?

The modules only come in one size so it's more a question of how many modules to purchase. The do make a smaller AI Nano module now though. What size tank again?
Edit: You tank footprint is 30 x 18...you could cover it with one if you had wide optics on there. But I'd probably go with two for better coverage and par.

Hey there Cory.... getiing 2 is real expensive..... I will have to play around and see what I can do. Did anyone do a tudy on coral growth with this unit?
Sorry to bring the dead back to life....
Well there are tons of threads out there on the aqua illuminations fixtures with par values and all that. The bottom line is that as for right now you're not really going to find a better american made led fixture/fixtures. They are 3 watt cree's and for $70 you can get the controler that gives you infinate color control possibilities along with cloud, storm and moon simulations. Optics are changeable, leds are even changeable. As far as growth they do very well, just ask Henry, he has one over his tank and has seen just as good if not better growth than halide.

Cool, thanks for the input. After vacation I will have to sit down and play with some numbers and look around. Have a safe 4th. Pretty dry down there isn't it?

Very nice.... I like the blues. I have the same problem until I switched salts and even then sometimes I add 5 ml (cap full) with top offs. I do check the parameters 1st.
Thanks for posting ;D
