Frozen food question?

How do you feed frozen food to your fish? I cut 1/2 a cube and it all broke apart, I don't know if they ate it or not.
How does everyone do it.
I also tied putting seaweed on a clip and the seaweed fell apart and was floating around the tank. Is this good for the fish. I ended up taking it out.

I use a homemade frozen seafood. I thaw a chunk on a cup of tank water then dump it in.
For seaweek I use dried Nori. I wrap it around a rock and rubberband it and drop it in.

I usually take out whatever is on the menu for that meal and place it into small disposable plastic cups. I then add Zoe and garlic to the mix and frequently Zoecon or Selcon. I let it thaw and then feed the tank.
For dried seaweed, I fold it over several times and put it in a clip or band it to liverock.
