Frozen Foods

Is it good or bad to drop frozen foods in the tank when feeding or thaw out the food????

For example mysis shrimp

It is better to thaw and rinse the food. I then soak it for a bit in Selcon, a vitamin supplement for fish.

Hi,

I put the cube in a fish-net, and run water over it, this thaws the food and rinses it...then I feed the fish by pulling the net backwards in the water, releasing the food into the tank. Everyone has their own way to feed the fish. Phosphates are a problem with packaged food, so it needs to be rinsed.

A bit of tank water in a dedicated cup, drop the food in. It'll thaw in a few mins, then in the tank it goes.
