Do you want artificial nutrients that are added after death or natural nutrients found within fresh/frozen foods? You can go with freeze-dried and hope the companies are adding the correct amounts of nutrients, but maybe a bad batch will have too low the amount or just as bad too high an amount, both being detrimental to your fish and your system.
You can significantly reduce/eliminate the the possibility of nutrient under/overdose when using quality fresh/frozen foods
