Ok, What is Fu Man Chu? How long does it take to move up to something not so low in the tank. LOL :)

This is only my 10th post, so I'm pretty low in the tank. Maybe they should call me the under-gravel filter!!! Great site everyone!!

Clown was the name for 0-100 posts for a few days. Now it changed to Fu Man Chu. So If you were a clown a few days ago, they switched you to Fu Man Chu. After 100 posts you become a black volitan. HTHcruises8

Hi all , we had a fu man once and was really cool looking when you seen it , hardly ever always under rocks in the back very skiddish,I think its in the family of anthias. And again what does the name we are given mean so much to everyone? as long as we are haveing fun and either learning something or giving good advice I dont see were the names have any pertanence....CYA :)

A Fu Man Chu is a type of lionfish. It is a dwarf lion that is blotches of orange and black. It has two long antenna like appendages that hang down on either side of its mouth. Looks like a fu man chu mustache!

Yes, thanks. It's just so funny...fu man chu. Out of every single fish in the ocean to choose from...fu man chu. LOL!!! Hey, it's better than scarlet cleaner shrimp. :D

HEHEHEHE. Well, look at this. We have a whole bunch of little lions runnin around. Hmmmmm..... I like this. I like it a lot. You are all blessed to be named after the coolest creature in the sea. But alas I am a Shark but technically the name says it all. Wooohooo this is awesome. The lionfish revolution has begun.

Hey COOP21 that was funny as heck!!! Maybe we should be the undergravel filters!!! I think I would like to be a Dwarf Fuzzy Lion, they are pretty cool looking.

It is funny. Fu Man Chu! Well I feel better knowing what we are. A lion fish is cool.
I have to agree, at least we are not Damsel's or the cleaner shrimp.

I found a picture of what we are. If you have "The Conscientios Marine Aquaist By Robert M Fenner" It is on page 204. It is also known as a Twinspot Lionfish.
Were not to bad. LOL :cool:
