Does anyone know if these guys are reef safe? Will they eat inverts or anything like that? I read that they require a 30 gallon tank and only get up to like 4'' big? does anyone have them in a reef aquarium or would recommend them in one?

as with any lionfish u run the potantial for them to eat your inverts or smaller fish....
i have a 4" fuzzy dwarf in my 100 gallon reef and he hasnt touched any of my inverts that i know of i have some hermits and a skunk cleaner....
says it may be one of the more difficult lions to keep often refusing to eat preparred foods

I think my biggest worry would have to be my clown gobies. I think that is a calling for food.

yeah those are pretty small but if u can get a small lion he might not see them as food and can grow up with the clown gobies just fine

my lfs has a fu manchu and i dont remember what the size is but if i feel that it will work Ill think about it. I think getting it small would do just fine.

yeah i think u should be fine they usually see new fish or inverts added after them as food since they are used to food being tossed in when the lid is opened but if its a small one i think u will be ok

I had a Fuman Chu in a 30 gallon reef tank and he did great. I lost a couple of small fish ti him but thats ok. I would go for it.

I'll see what the lfs feeds them, because they have had this one for like about a month now, no one wants him i guess.
