With lowering fuel prices why is this policy still in effect by SWF?
Temporary Fuel Charge Explanation
Due to jet fuel prices, FedEx is charging companies upwards of an extra 20% fuel surcharge for each individual order. That means if they charge us $60 to ship your order they are now charging an extra $12 on top of that $60, plus they can also charge both a Delivery Area Surcharge and residential Surcharge on top of the Fuel Surcharge and Rate charge if you receive a residential delivery or if you are in a rural area. In order to offer both free shipping and low prices we are forced to charge a $8.99 temporary fuel surcharge on all shipments until these charges subside. Once these companies discontinue their surcharge policy we will be able to remove this charge. We apologize for this inconvenience.
