Ok.. So how can I make a fuge thats above or beside my main tank. I have NO over flow. I would love if some one could draw me out a plan! I have spare 10 and 20 long and other tanks.. so which ever you can think of..
It will all be on top of a metal stand so weight isnt a problem. My problem is getting it from one tank to the next with out drillling or wierd plumbing my girly butt will never figure out..
Thanks for any help!

what you could do is use the 20g (more water the better)....the MOST simplest way is to get a external pump...make it so the hose/plumbing is in the display tank and pump a slow gph (200gph) would be good...then have the hose/plumbing go over to the 20g and go in pumping water in...now get the same size pump and do the exact same thing, but this time you pump water out of the refuge into the display..thats the best i can help without drawin a diagram...if you need me to help more let me know...

That chances of getting two exact pumps to keep up with each other are next to impoissible, you are just looking for a flood IMO!

hmm.. I thought of that before..
same pump.. same hose pumping in then one going out.. but then that was shot to hell seeming I would end up with a flood.

you have to cemet check valves in your pvc and possibly ball valves too for minor adjustments...you wont have flood, because you wont have the water level on the 20g so high, used 1/2" plumbing

well how do you set one up wiht s over flow box.. speaking of i have seen some one make a DIY over flow with tupper ware!.. so I am a crafty person.. but how do i make a fuge with the over flow box?

If either pump fails for whatever reason you will have a flood, if main tank(exit pump) fails, return pump will pump until sump is empty and flood DT, and vise versa if return pump fails, your exit pump will pump till your DT is dry flooding your house and sump!!! Plus like I said say they dont fail, but one over rates the other you will have a flood!!!!!

Basically you just use th HOB overflow to feed sump via gravity. The return pump pumps it back. I will do a search for you, and see what I come up with!!!

i love how everyone makes their lives a ---- load worse than what it has to be..they sell battery pack powerstripes...if your power goes out, you have 12 hours of battery life to keep the powerstrip running....ive built one of these for a friend, with no battery power strip, and hes a happy son of a

...and besides, you wont have any flooding with check valves if your powergoes out, everything just STOPS...

your telling me something wont work, that i have done...it works great...if they fail, the check valve will lose pressure and wont let any other water pass...i dont know why a pump would fail unless it was burnt out from running dry or loss of power...as for one being a little more powerful than the other, never heard of it, i must of always been lucky, but then you put on valves where you can tighten and losen for accuracy
