fuge or trickle

alright i have been asking around and some people tell me one some tell me the other i have a 120g tank and i want to make one or the other for it the tanks is a the tanks has a cleaning crew some fish and a anenome and a star fish in it and about 2/3 full of live rock i want to add more fish and i want to get ride of the back packs but i dont know the best way to go with this witch ever way i go its going to be in my basement and come up threw the floor so i dnt have to make anouther new stand for it can i please get some help input anything and if i should go one way or anouther can i have some tips on how to build one thanks for every thing

make a fuge. it's basic as to what a 'fuge' is
refugium= a tank to house 'other' living creature that are not wanted in the main tank.
as in another tank atached to your main tank where you would ass sand and alea to gorw thuse helping controle your water parms some. most fuge are split to be both a fuge and a sump.
sump = a container which house your tanks equipment ( heater,skimmer ect )
the hardest part in making a fuge/sump is designing it to meet your needs. and since space is not a issue... this wont but a very hard thing to do. just get the biggest tank you can find and turn it into what you want it to do. look around on some design and read up a little on baffle placement. gl

thank you for that but can i get some ideas on what size tank i will need to use and what i would put in the fuge and what i would put in the sump and what size tank i would need for me 120 and wow hats a lot of ands and what kinda of equipment i would need for it and how to run these pipes because i dont want to drill this tank :help:

it's basic like stated above.. it's just another tank ran in-line with your tank. do a search on google for some designs. as for size.. the bigger the better. but make sure it fit into whatever/wherever it is that you will put it.
you would want some live sand and some cheato in the fuge area and all of your tank equipment in the sump area.. as in heater. return pump, skimmer, carbon and what not. the stuff that are essential for a tank that are unsightly. sry i lost my fuge/sump pic.. it would of gave you something to go by...
ask around for home made fuges. imma try too look for my pics of my fuge... well gl till then.. like i said.. do a search for fuges on google.

perdy much live sand and algea.. cheato is best it think.. i just use a simple clamp on light from hd. buy fluorcent light ( the twisty kind ) look around to find a 6500k bulb and shine the light on the algea..

well i have a lot of old hood set up from when i kept on upgrading my lights so i have plenty of lights but now i would like to see some pics if anybody has them or some plans

fisrt pic is the sump area, the second is my return corner with tiple buble baffle ( the reason why i did it on a angle is to save space in my sump since i use a external pump as a return )

i want to put some bioballs in that i think there a good thing my lfs keeps trying to seem me this one it all big freaken in tank filter but i keep telling him this is why i want the fuge so i dont have to haven anything in my tank besides a few pieces of pvs pipe thanks for the info
