Just thought I would take a pic of my fuge and post it. I know it was helpful to me when building mine the first time to see pics. I have redone it a few times. this is how it is now. The sponge is there just until i got hte wate flow right for micro bubbles. I think i got it now.

what size is your sump? i think ill be making mine by the end of the week, but itll temporarily be a 10 gallon tank

did you glass for it? i think you did. did you just buy the glass from the store and score it?

I just went to lowes and had them cut me some glass. It was pretty cheap. I had different sizes. I think it was about $10 worth of glass if that. I siliconed them in and the rest is history. I have cut one out and moved it to make more room for the fuge area. I made the skimmer section as small as i could to leave more room for the fuge. After the skimmer I have three baffles for a bubble trap. Thanks I have more pics too. Hope it all helps.

it does help. im getting closer to getting everything together. i bought the overflow box and just need to buy the pvc and buy the pump. im probably going to have to go to lowe's and have them cut some glass for me when i get the 20 long

I had them cut it 11 and 7/8 wide They had to re cut a couple pieces. I had some cut 11 3/4 wide and it left too much of a gap. I think mine are 11 7/8 by 6
