Are you cycling your tank? Need tank parameters as in phosphates, ph, temp, all the routine test. Size of tank, lighting refugium, are you feeding the refuguim. Whats your filtration, as you can see, can't solve the problem unless provided with more information and pictures do speak....

d/t size is 180gal sump 55gal
have skimmer, live rock in tank about 200bl, about 120bl live sand
tank running for about 6 weeks, have had the cycle. move from a 75gal
looks like it may be cycling now

ammonia= bad test kit
nitrite= 0.0
nitrate= 0.0
ph= 8.0/8.2
phosphate=0.0/.01
temp= 79.8

fill like i have but one choice,
red slime remover, i have red cyano in the tank and black cyano in the sump.
i will have to be very careful, as all of you have said on two of my post, i also have a post, " what is the best red slime remover".

new tank new fun

I've never used a remover. That cyano above was from one of my tanks. Time and maintenance fixed it for me.

what did you do, slow down on food and light, water changes "help" i do not like to put chemicals in my tanks if i can help it. thanks for you help
