Your tank is beautiful :) NMReef mentions you've come a long way in a relatively short time. How old is your system?

Hey Graham:
Nice Zoanthus colonies. Those are really big. Are they hard to keep? I've had good success with shrooms. What's needed to make them grow?
Thanks,
Andy:)

Graham, do yourself and your tank a favore and try to stay away from those wild colonies.

Only two of those colonies are wild caught. The rest are captive raised :)

Are you going to the frag swap next weekend?

Are you talking about the one hosted by Dave, next saterday? If so, i'll be there. I'm going to check out his frag tank prior to the swap- i'll be giving him a frag of a Heliopora & bottle brush acropora, and a large rock of green mushrooms.
It really stinks that you took your tank down. Otherwise, I would really want to give you a few frags out of my tank; to return the favour :) Anyway, I hope to see you there.
Wrassecal,
It's about 17 months old. It was started in December of 2001
Sixline,
The zooanthids are weeds- they grow like crazy. They are very beautiful, though and give great coloration to the tank :)
Skilos1,
Thanks for the ID. I really apreciate it!

Thanks for the great comments, everyone!
I went to Daves place and picked up 3 more frags- A. Valida, A. secale, and a Bright yellow A. Millepora :) The Millepora is beautiful :)

Graham,
I'm really loving those polyps. Which kind are they? On another site they classify them as orange/red colony polyps. Also know as "Zoanthus" Are these the same thing you have?
Anyway what do you have to add to the tank to get them to grow well? Iodine & Calcium I'm guessing? It looks as though you've added different colored one into the mix. I think I'll give them a try and introduce multiple colors into my tank.
Great looking setup again......

sixlinewrasse,
I do not dose anything except Calcium. There's more than enough iodine located in your saltmix. There's no need to add more to your system.
The polyps I have are Zooanthids (Zooanthus sp.).
Salty Jeff,
Thanks!
Graham
