Fungus on clown?

Hello everybody, about two month ago i took over my brother's 33 gal, of which was very poorly taken cared of. to cut the story short, a month later i was about to improve the condition of the tank, water quality is pretty much perfect right now, KH is 7 tho =/. last week during my water change, which was 25%, i forgot to bring up the new water temp to the tank's temp and consequently my clown, the only fish in the tank, got sick. Check the pictures in the disease forum. Looks like lymphocystis, but my old blind eyes aren't that reliable.

Thanks so much for the reply, it was great help! So i googled lymphocystis and it sounds alot like it! I even found an article of a person who is basicly in the same boat as me http://www.ultimatereef.net/forums/showthread.php?t=323852. "The 'cotton wool' appearance gives it away so as I said, good water & feeding and it will clear up by itself in time, maybe a few weeks", a guy replied. I guess this would make sense since its a viral infection and antibiotics will not work. The good news is hes the only fish in the tank right now, and hes eating/ swimming just fine *thumbs up*.

Actually that 3rd picture looks more like brooklynella. How long have you had this fish?

I looked up pictures for brooklynella and realized that this was the first stage of him being sick. after my "disastrous" water maintenance the clown had slime all over his body and was gasping for air. This condition, however, went away the following morning, and a couple days later the "cotton ball" appeared on the spike next to his gill. I had this clown for about 3 months now, but this fish was living in this tank for over three years now (as i mentioned, i took over the tank from somebody else).

By the way, hes still swimming and eating like a healthy fish; its just the "cotton ball" that makes him look sick.
