funnel snail vs. turbo/astrea snail???

which would all of you reccomend? needed mainly for cleaning glass would prefer one that is more hardy. i had my turbos for a month then they started falling off the glass like flies and getting killed. i took out my red hermit though. i think he was taking them off the glass he was about 4 inches. also do i need to leave the water level lower so they can get out of the water at the top? i raised the level all the way to the top since i was gonna be gone for a week and a lot died then.

I'm having good luck with astrea snails. There are so many baby snails on the glass in the morning when I get up it'd hard to count them all. Last count was 21 babies and 6 adult ones.
I had problems with the larger mexican turbos. They all eventually died. I had 6 of those. After that is when I went to the astrea snails.
