They are truly beautiful (or is that butteyful (hee hee)) creatures but very hard to keep alive in captivity. These are best left in the wild unless you can dedicate a lot of time and dollars to a NPS system (NPS= non-photo-synthetic ).

this feather star was very interesting to have in the system for sure. New studies have suggested that they feel for their food with there feet and the tenticles are basically secondary to catch plankton. Would love to have another and in different colors, but until marine biologists can figure them out more I have to aggree with Mr. Spanko, keep them in the wild.

I was also having one in my Tank but died soon as it found very difficult to survive in other habitat which is not wild....
