Furry cattapiller

I'm sitting here looking at my tank and this furry looking cattapiller thing is slowly coming out of this rock , it is a pale brown with like spikes out of the side's , does anyone have any ideas ????,

Sounds like a common bristleworm. They're a good free addition to your CUC.

Ya I looked it up it does look like the bristle worm and now there is another one coming out of another rock , I also have what looks like maggots on this rock are they the baby worms?

Reefer , sorry but I am unable to post a pick ,. My daughter has confirmed it is a brittle worm , very creepy ..

Hehe....I was also a little disturbed when I first saw them in my tank!! I dropped pellets for my snails one night and saw bristleworms coming out of rocks! There are a lot of them, but I only see them on nights I drop food in there.
I read that you should not handle them with bare hands cuz they sting.........
Other than that...no harm having them in the tank.
