He ate the half dozen shrimp on Saturday? If so, he is likely not hungry yet. Give him some time. That is a lot of food at one feeding (depending on the size of the fuzzy).

Wow, I am really sorry to hear that he passed away. How was he acting when you got him? Active? Hiding? Did he eat aggressively? How big was he?

o he was a top specamin. big ol dorsel spines huge red fins. marked as large fuzzy. he was swimming pearched up front a center in the tank. went after all the ghost shrimp sucked the up like a mad man. stocking them from above then slamming them. it was between him or a coral beauty that was traded in from someone else tank and was eating frozen w/o a problem. but the fuzzy was only eating ghost shrimp but no big deal i know how to wean them and buying the shrimp is no big deal till then. but then i put him the tank he paced it a bit then went in the rock work but i figured no big deal all new fish do that till they get use to the new tank. he came out to day i was like yes finaly. he came to the center foze up and passed. GAH! fuzzys are my favorite fish for my tank! iam so depressed

I Understand.......... The problem with this lion may be shipping, even though it looked healthy and ate......... When purchasing a lion have the LFS hold it for 7 - 10 days before bringing it home. You will find it can be easier to wean in a small tank at the LFS during this time. Please don't get frustrated and try again...... Good Luck

that is a great idea i always go to the LFS and see tanks that say: fish NFS paid in full pick up on such and such.....always the best fish in the place. but i never thought about doin it myself, great advise. now i just hope i dont go another 6 months B4 i find another 1

Well, they'd probably live a lot better if they didn't have to be shipped 4 billion miles on a plane in a stuffy little bag floating around in their own poop.
(And I thought travelling coach was bad!)
