Fuzzy mushroom "inflation"?????

I have two fuzzy mushrooms. I have noticed that every time I add garlic to the frozen foods, the shrooms look like they "inflate". Can somebody tell me what this is. I am using minced garlic and it is an extremely small amount that I add. I have been testing this out with different foods and not putting it in during some feedings. The "inflation" only happens when the garlic is added. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

i dont know why but the same thing happens to my mush but i never associated it with the the garlic but i always feed with a little garlic.

the garlic makes them hungry. they want to eat.

do they close up and look like a big grape? if so, they caught some food and are eating it.

No, they stay open and look like they get inflated with air. If I get some time I will get it on video.

then they probably smell food , and are trying to increase surface area to catch it.

But they don't do it if there isn't garlic in the mix.
