ugh, sorry for you man. Use the old, "It's like an investment for the house honey" routine. Then follow that with some Gold or a nice day at the spa.

Ok back to the reason I made this thread. These are pictures I just took. I put in about 10#'s of LR and a barnacle cluster. I also have a blue damsel in there right now. I know I said I wasn't going to put him in there but when I moved the barnacles over from the 29g he was trapped in one of the holes without me knowing.
(He is a trickster) I am going to let the tank cycle like this for a few days before I add the rest of the LR and coral. Fish last.

This is what I have been trying to get a picture of for weeks. I finally got one up close. I have hundreds of these firey red feather dusters all over my LR. I hope they do ok in the new tank!

Is is too early to put in my coral beauty and purple pseudo? The tank parameters are fine, I just got them checked at the lfs. I am worried the angel is getting too stressed in the old tank because of all the lr I have taken out. She won't stop darting around, always at constant full speed. What do you guys think?

Ok, today was a "big" day for the old 55g tank. I have moved over the rest of the lr as well as my Purple Pseudo. I didn't plan on moving him into the new tank until wednesday, but he hitch hiked in my large piece of lr into the new tank without my knowledge (He is doing suprisingly good. He is already cleaning out his hole by carrying away piles of sand in his mouth). There is something wierd about my fish, first the sneaky damsel, then the bum Pseudo. The only thing left in my 29g is the Coral beauty, the scooter blenny and the kenya trees. Here are the most updated pictures in the tank.
(You can see the two fish at the far left, both doing quite well)

This is a clam or a mussel I found in a hole in the rock. It is still alive. I guess it was there when I bought the rock a year and a half ago?)

This is a good shot of a firey red feather duster and a q-tip sponge.)

Lastly, the pictures of my 29g and the kenya trees. This proves how hardy the kenyas are.

I also was wondering if anyone had an idea of when I could add the kenya trees. So far, the live rock, inverts and fish are doing great in there. I was planning on putting them in the day after next. Any objections or ideas? thanks

I now its hard to believe, but I think it cycled faster because I put about 5 gallons of the old tank water in there. I guess I will put Stella the angel in there. The temp is 77, so I will wait 'til 79 for the kenyas. Wish me luck!!

I did the transfer, I'll post pics in a minute...everything went smooth. I only did one Kenya just in case.

Ok, here it is. I put in one Kenya, and I was amazed how fast it opened up! I guess I did something right, this is the fastest cycle I have ever heard of. Also, the Coral Beauty is a little camera shy. I will try to get a better one later. (I have a lot of experience with saltwater reef tanks, so I know not to be naive about the cycle. I am keeping a CLOSE watch on all the parameters, don't worry)

Stella hates getting her picture taken...

This is the stuff my Pseudochromis has been spitting out of its house. All that sand on the rock is from inside the LR! Very funny to watch, like a barfing fish.
