what about reef tanks?? the problem i have with all the public aquariums is the lack of reef tanks. when i say reef tanks i mean tanks like ours just on a massive scale. i see the tunnel pick but its all fake decor. i guess a massive reef like that would be very tuff to have

Not all true. From what I remember about this area is that there is a lot of live stuff on the
"rock". The live rock and fake rock are mingled together with live reef species. Their main goal and hope is that it will all grow and expand through the years......basically creating their own coral reef. :joy:
My step bro work for Home Depot HQ in Atlanta.....said they have already reached their
1 millionenth customer and they are cutting back on how many people will be in the building and have extended their hours to help with peak hours.

can you imagine the amount of plankton needed to feed those suckers?!
Ga is my home state as well. don't live there now but visit family and it is a WONDERFUL aquarium. Do you scuba? Maybe they will let you volunteer to feed the sharks. Post more pics
very nice! i was gonna go there for break this week, but no we have to do "home imporvements" of course they also said we could go to the caribbean too...
Personally I think the Denver aquarium is the best one I have seen yet. The GA wasn't that impressive to me. Although their reef exhibit was pretty nice.
Tried to get the best - alot of my pics were "green". Don't know what setting I had on the camera. The reef was okay - you really can't tell that much from these pics, too green. However, it was pretty awesome standing in front of it. There were alot of fake corals, but they are going to slowly remove and replace with the real stuff.
We have an annual pass. The best time to go is to be there at 9:00 am when they open. After 10:00 it's so crowded you can't enjoy.
So, enjoy the pics.
The baluga (sp??) whales were the best. You stand in front of this huge tank. They are so friendly. Could put my hand on the glass and the whale would come up to the glass and rub against it. So cool.
