about how long does it take for galaxea to start to open up after acclimating it?

Mine took 24 hours before it started coming around.

A word of caution..do not put your Galaxia within 6 - 8" of anything you might want to keep. They are quite deadly to other corals that they can reach out and sting.

Mine was opened a hour or 2 after i got it.

I will be keeping it away from my other corals.

how do they grow? as in do they just form a skeleton or do they need rocks to attach to in order to get bigger?
