Ok. I have Caulerpa prolifera and Halimeda ("Cactus Stalk") growing rapidly in my display tank. This is what I intended and is a good thing.
What are your methods of pruning? I do not want to do the yank and pull method, as I have a DSB and I want not to disturb it, and cause a sea storm in the tank, and disrupt the "hold fasts" of the plants. (They are in the sand bed, and the plants are teeming with life.)
And I promised my husband I wouldn't use the good trimmers.............
.........or the electrical hedgecutters.....
Can I just quickly make sissor cuts? Will the caulpera release any "toxins" into the tank? Are there any other precautions I should be aware of?
Your methods and advice please!
TIA
