garlic?? help fish??

guyz..i read a few trend on garlic helping fish fight diseases... it this true?? how do it work? why it work? how do u use it?? ........ if it help my poor fish recover!! im going to use it.......

Many people claim that garlic is useful. They usually state that it helps bolster the immune system and stimulate appetite (both of which are helpful if you have a sick fish).
You can crush your own garlic or use a commercially available preparation. I use Kent's Garlic Extreme. It has a dropper so it is very easy to use (try not to get it on your hands - it has a strong odor). It is best to soak some food in garlic before feeding.
I used to use it frequently when I was a newbie, but now I only occasionally use this and I don't really notice any difference. I do not think it will hurt anything.

hum.. cool.... last questions tho boss.... u mean regular garic or a special garlic ( super marker home cooking or special fish garlic)???? just crush it up like with a hammer??.. can i actually just drop a garlic clove into the tank only only soak the food in it?

You can use regular supermarket garlic. However, it needs to be crushed. I have no experience with doing this so I cannot give further advice. Someone else might have some knowledge, or you can wait until Beth gets back.
