Garlic ?? How to feed ???

I ofcourse have a yellow tang with a little ich, I have seen here that many people with inverts have used garlic feeding. Is this something that I can find at my lfs? Has anyone had any negitive effects to using garlic. Also my lfs has very small Naso, I have never seen one this small. Would it be safe to add him to tank with the yellow. And would it be safe to add him to tank with yellow with a tad of ich? The yellow is very skiddish and not dominate at all. I used to soak the food in garlic, now I just add a capful to my sump on Saturdays when I do my routine maintenance. I use pure garlic juice from the spice section of Food Lion. I have 3 ich magnets, I mean yellow tangs with no ich for 3 months now using the garlic method of prevention. I also have seen good results feeding garlic soaked foods to fish with ich. Ich cleared in two days.
BTW I also have a cleaner shrimp in the tank with the tangs for good measure. I also reccomend a cleaner shrimp for all fish tanks. An ounce of prevention is worth.......
