u dont feed them actual garlic
they make a liquid garlic, it makes them attracted to the smell and fish will eat it since it smells good
my lfs showed me a bottle, it comes in a bottle with like a dropper, like ones u c for ear drops. i dont think it will do anything to ur water

My fish actually eat smashed up particles of garlic. I get a clove of garlic and use a garlic press to smash it all up and add it with every food mixture I make. It's nasty smelling, but the fish will like it. the garlix extreme in the bottles is also good I think, but why not get the real deal and use fresh from the store...

I make a mixture of mysis shrimp, flake and plankton and let it marinate in garlic in a small container for the week.... just feed them with a small droper and they go crazy....
My green chromis attack like sharks.
