I am curious. Not to hijack but everyone uses Regular?

I use regular with an octane booster instead of paying the oil company to add it plus its cheaper doing it that way LOL

I've got an '05 Ram with the Hemi. The owners manually specificially states that there's no real benefit in running anything other than 89 octane. I've got an '00 Dakota, got nearly 200,000 mile on it. Never ran anything but 89 in it. It's a work truck and always has a load on it. Runs like a top. Why do you run a higher octane? Seems wasteful to me?

Two years ago when I bought my truck it would cost about $30 to fill up on premium. Now its like $45 on regular.
Oh and its about 3.15 a gallon here in Phoenix.
Maybe more, maybe less. Lets hope less since I'm leaving in a few and only have $15 to put in my truck.

I filled up my F250 diesel yesterday....$110 (and I wasn't all the way on empty). And this is per week. I'll take your $45

yeh I wonder how much it is going to be when I start driving in 2 months.
My recommendation fishkid2....get a vehicle for your "needs", not your "wants". Sounds like you are young. There is no need to go after the "cool" car, or the monster truck, just to fit in with the crowd. While all your buddies are pouring their $ into gas, you can be laughing all the way to the bank

My dad filled up his f350 deisel yesterday too. He got pissed off about the price so he only got 7.5 gallons for $30. Good thing my parents car pool and don't use the truck much.

I have a baby truck though. 2001 Toyota Tacoma.
I was thinking maybe someday down the line about getting a bigger truck, maybe a Titan, but I dont think its worth it. Its not like i need it for work or anything. Thats just too much money.
BUT my other car, 1968 Mustang gets about 12 MPG. So I yeah. It may only cost like $40 to fill up, but its not lasting very long.

Kind of already have a car and its not going to be good on mpg.
Its an 88 cougar, gets around 15 mpg, so that really sucks.
