For all those who are unbelievers, The Florida Gators are the champs, so much to say about this game, the fat lady is singing, who would of thought that the gators would hold the buckeyes offense to one touchdown, now ask your selves this question, did the gators deserve to play in this game? BTW did any one else notice the holding that first kick off return, Emmit Smith did, so i know it just wasn't me. any who, "Its Great to be a Florida Gator".

As I said in the original post where everyone was saying that Ohio was going to kill the gators that I guess they are mortgaging their houses to run and place their bets as they are so sure. I am a Gator Alumni and it was a very good night last night!
And yes, I did notice the hold on the first run back also.

this is great, i read this on yahoo news...
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Everybody got it wrong except the Gators.
Turns out Florida was too good to be on the same field as Ohio State, and that Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith and the Buckeyes were the ones who weren't worthy.
Coach Urban Meyer's once-beaten Gators dominated the undefeated Buckeyes and streaked to college football's national championship, 41-14 on Monday night.
Florida got all but one of the 65 first-place votes in the final Associated Press poll. Ohio State dropped from No. 1 and finished second.
"Honestly, we've played a lot better teams than them," Florida defensive end Jarvis Moss said. "I could name four or five teams in the SEC that could probably compete with them and play the same type of game we did against them."

Cubsfan...You are exempt from this next statement since A) you showed class in the original thread (BCS and the Florida Gators) and B) showed class again tonight.
Where are all the people who called us stupid, deluded, etc because we said that the Gators not only deserved to be there, but might even be the better team? When they were heaping derision on our heads the posts were sure coming in. Where are they now?
I thought the hold on Reggie Lewis was VERY obvious since it happened as he was reaching for Ginn, but the refs missed it. I think it was great that Leak finally got a championship after all he has been through. Recruited by Zook, forced to play as a freshman when Grossman left early, Zook fired mid-way through his sophomore season, had to learm Meyer's system junior year and National Title in his senior year. That's alot of crud to overcome.
I wonder if Lewis will return for his Senior season or go to the NFL?
IT'S GREAT TO BE A GATOR!

The Gators did not surprise me reagding winning the game...but the BEAT DOWN sure did.
Troy Smith looked like a first year QB out there...and that O-Line for OSU was horrible.

I think OSU was done a great disservice by the media. For 57 days they were told that they were invincible and the Florida should thank them for being allowed to play. You remember that age...if someone tells you that you are a football god enough times you start to beleive it. Flash back to the look on their faces. After the first TD it was indignation, the second was outrage, and the third was the beginnings of despair. If they had come into the game expecting a fight then the outcome might have been different. I remember playing in games where the other team didn't read their script. By the time we realized we were in trouble we were well and truly screwed!
Being a Gator fan I am by no means taking anything away from the Gators. OSU is a VERY good team, but they were simply outplayed last night. The beginnings of their demise was the Michigan game. After that the media started the campaign to convince the nation that OSU was without peer. Unfortunately for them the Gators didn't buy in.
The other thing I noticed was the comradery and fellowship on the FU sidelines. When Hetland made the first FG the WHOLE Gator bench got up to congratulate him. You could tell that this team was truly a unit.
By the way what was the deal with no OSU post game interviews? They always interview both teams after the game why did OSU get snubbed? And as far as my earlier comment I would like to apologize. I thought about it and I don't think I would be posting if Florida had lost. Sorry.
