GBTA in a powerhead. Help

Well. after three years my gbta finally made its way into a powerhead. I removed, as best I could, the nem from the powerhead and I'd say about half of the nem was destroyed. I changed the carbon and did a 10% water change. The nem is pretty mangled but still attached to the glass. What is the proper procedure in this situation? Should I remove it or is there a chance that it will survive? It is in a 55.

Only time will tell, the best advice I can give is leave it alone, keep your water as pristine as possible and cover your powerhead intake to avoid future disasters like this.
