at about 930 this morning I was woke up by a very loud sound coming from outside the bedroom. I jumped up out of the bed thinking it was the 210 that had broke. remember im on the 3rd floor in our building so in a lot of crap. well I get out of the bedroom and somehow our water change container had fallen over. grab every towel that we have in the house and its nowhere near enough. so now im sitting inline at wallyworld trying to buy a shopvac when I should have already had one.

I told him that I didnt know what happened. I was still freaking out. he told me no real harm done. he had to replace the capacitor in the fridge tho. its was starting to spark and they called their carpet cleaning service telling me that the shop vac wouldnt work. I wonder if were still going to be able o renew our lease before the end of the month

I dont think that he suspected the tank. he even started a conversation with me about it and most people dont know that you should use filtered water and he saw the ro/di unit in the laundry room

I hear ya... every hobbyist should have a good wet/dry. I've used mine countless times for my tank. In fact if you open it up right now I bet you'd find bits of aragonite stuck in the filter cartridge.

the hose that goes to the faucet adapter won't stay in place now and theres a leak but I can't find where its coming from. I've only looked at it once. I was thinking of buying a new unit anyways just bumed that it happened like this and this fast

I know its been awhile, but some good news here. I found the parts that I need to get the RO/DI working again and have them ordered. it was just the elbow on the DI resin filter and a piece that holds the feed line in place to the garden hose adapter.

I think that the container actually gave when the water got high enough. I thought that it was strong enough, but now that I think about it it is probably too weak for this. other than that there is no other way for this to have happened.

rubbermaid roughneck from wallyworld. when it is full of water it is not that sturdy. it might have something to do with the placement of the wheels on it.there is a lot of water directly above them

OMG! I have 2 of those FULL of RO water right now. No wheels on mine though, and they look/ feel sturdy. Mustve been the wheels.
