can someone show me some good units you have used and would recommend. there are so many and each is a little different so what should i get? Any help would be great.

I have a Kent 200gpd DI system. I can't figure out why I don't hear more mention of these units. There is no waste water as with a RO unit. This means you can mount it anywhere you can find a water supply-no need for a drain.
My unit has color-indicating resins that show when it's time to change resins. I have the refillable cartridges. These are actually pretty cheap to refil if you shop online. ALL DI units use the same resins. I bought my replacement resins from Spectrapure.

I too have been looking at them online. Some are 3 stage, some are 5 stage, some are RO/DI some are DI some are just RO. It all gets very confusing. And the GPD is another issue. Why would I need 200 gallons per day unless I have a commercial operation. Why would I even need 35 gallons per day. I only have 4 tanks, total of 310 gallons. I buy about 10 gallons of distilled water a week...so what size unit do I need?
I am, however, tired of lugging the 10 gallons a week from the grocery store. How do you decide what to buy?

I have a SpetraPure RO/DI. Have had no problems, and very good price. I purchased mine at www.***********.com.

I might suggest getting a plastic 55gal barrel cost about $50 and a small submersible power head. you can also get several 5gal plastic water jugs from your local spring water supplier. By doing this I fill up the barrel when it is needed then shut off the water maker saving the filters. the pump moves water up to the top of the barrel then sprayed back into the barrel to keep it moving. I also spliced into this pvc line another valve used to fill the water jugs. This allows me to keep about 100gal water on hand at all times for water changes and refills. By doing this I only have to run my water maker about 1 day a wk and always have plenty of water on hand.
