On the advice of my LFS I purchased a LTA for my tank raised false clown fish. Its only been in the tank for 1 week. I known that tank raised clowns may not host anemones, but I would like to try. Please advise.
I think I have read on here that clowns don't usually host ltas. I have an lta and bta, and my clowns don't host either one. One of my clowns does host a feather duster though.
Should I attempt to add a BTA to the tank. Can a BTA and LTA live together in the same tank? I also would like to add coral to my tank but I was advised not to because of the LTA. What should I do?
I have a bta and an lta in my 75. That is not recommended though. I do have another tank that I can move the bta to if need be. I have my anemones in with corals. The lta has never moved (not once) since I added it about 10 months ago. Bta's do roam though. Mine moves around quite a bit and has stung my mushrooms before. Luckily they recovered.
I forgot to add, there have been quite a few people on here that have had success getting their clowns to host by taping a picture of a clown hosting on the tank by the anemone. I didn't work for me but alot of people have claimed success.
haha .. but yes .. you can have a LTA with Coral .. and yes you can have an LTA with a BTA but it depends on what size your tank is .. and no matter how big it is you need to put them at opposite sides of the tank
