I drilled a 1/4" hole....attached 1/4" tubing into it with silicone and then used a air valve to control the air flow.

Steve....
The Fuge will be returned to the sump area with a standard 1" bulkhead drilled into the side of the fuge. I have made the fuge sit a little higher than the sump so I can flow it down.

:) Here is the completed corner stand.....actually its not completed. I still need to adjust the doors and have to install the fish handles that I got ordered.

Here is the inside of the stand so far. I still need to place the fuge tank inside and get that plumbed in, howeverthe sump is running and things are great. I have even tested it for that "power outage" thing that everyone worries about. No probs....tank holds that water with the syphon holes drilled in return line and once the power comes back on everything picks right up again and begins to work.

JFDJASON , what type of overflow do you have to bring the water from your tank to your overflow, do you have u tubes?, i was thinking of converting mine from 2 u tubes to 1 big 1" pvc tube , not sure if that would work or not? if it would hold the suction, thanks

I have two 1" u-tubes flowing from the skimmer inside the tank to the overflow with the durso style pipe (that is pictured above). I probally don't have to use 2 of them but I like the added flow. All of this was custom made by myself.

No...I thought about PVC, but for now I just have some plastic tubing from the local hardware store. Cost about .99 for a foot of it.

I thought I would give you a view so I grabbed the camera and went to the tank. Here is from the top looking down.

thanks for the pic, thats what i have also, i wasen't sure if pvc would work the same ? with a 1" dia , whether it would hold the suction to hold the flow, what do you think.

As long as the tubes are below the water level in the tank and the water level in the overflow box, which is also lower than the pipe going to the sump (whatever that be, straight pipe, durso style, others...) you will not break the suction.

Sump cost.......let me think.......
Tank = $9.99 - *****
Acrylic for baffles = (purchased a sheet for all the products) so for this I will say $8.00
Pump = Quiet One 4000 $40.00 somewhere online
PVC going to sump and back to tank = $15.00 with all fittings.
So we have......$72.99 + My time = $3,487.34
