getting rid of a hitchhiker!

Hello everyone.
I have a hitchhiker crab that i think is eating some of my coral. Zoos to be precise. He hides in a rock. Wat do i do! Can i take the rock out and put it in a bag and smash it with a hammer into hopefully not to small of pieces? Can i just dip it in some tap water for an extended period??? I need help. I thought he was kool looking and harmless but i dont think so anymore and i wanna rid my tank of him! Ive only seen him eat at the rock but i think at night he comes out! I cant really trap him in any way because i have emeralds and a skunk i wanna keep!

LOL...you can take the rock out and put it in a bucket...it may come out
or......put it in a higher salinity water
OR...put it in FW

Hes got a good hiding spot too but i know wat rock it is!

Just the thought of having to catch the SOB is funny in itself....these little critters are slick.....especially crabs
If yo uare sure aboutthe rock it is in.....and can remove it....I would do it ASAP....

should i just put it in a bucket of fw for an extended period or till he finally comes out? This will prob kill everything else in or on the rock huh? It wont be bad for the tank?

What else is on the rock? NO, it won't hurt the tank......try putting it in a bucket with NO water first.....it might jump out

AHHHHH ive got a bad case of crabs. LOL jk but seriously i have 2 of em for sure. They wont leave the rock. They are in the holes of the rock. I put the rock in a bucket and as soon as i see if they are their, they go right back in the hole. Man it might be time to add the tap

No lol u all should know i dont have much patience lol. I turned the light off and set it in the bathroom. I also put a piece of mysis in the water that drained out of the rock. Will they actually be in the bucket!>!>! come out come out wherever u are.....lil !@#$$%
i just dont want the rock to dry up

well 10pm is rolling around and iam free of the lil buggers finally. After some intense fighting from the good old tweezers, they gave up...
