i have just purchased a prizm deluxe skimmer, and two emperor 280's for my 75 gal. tank. I have a 300 watt heater, and 80 watts of light (is that enough???) I want to have a reef and fish tank.....where do i go from here? what do i need to buy now in order to get started??
Also... Is 80 watts of lighting enough to have just live rock?? and....what do i need to buy in order to keep my rock healthy, and covered in algae.
If anyone has a prizm skimmer.... i need to know how they set it up, b/c mine isnt pumping up water properly :help:

Lights, lights, lights! google websites for lights and get some more watts. IMO, lights should be the biggest ticket item you buy. The visual and growth benifits of good lighting is what really makes the tank. I have skimped on lights in the past and always ditched what I had and upgraded two or three times. I wish I would of just bought the proper lights in the first place and saved money. IMO 1 W per gallon will barely keep live rock but you will not see the colors or visual benifits of live rock. Also, there is just about no coral that will grown in that environment. Even mushrooms would be hurting. Just my 2 cents.
