Hello everyone,
well the summer has come and gone the 2 fish or so i had died while i went on vacation this summer due to extreme heat or a bad babysitter. I havnt had much time to get the tank going again so i have just left it running with no life in it other than sand and rock. I was wondering what i should do to get it up to par again...Now i feel that i have more time and my father has gotten into the whole aquarium thing to so now that i have a helper hopefully we can get the tank to flurish... please help :help:

I would first start by cleaning EVERYTHING.. tank, equipment, etc. Then I would test for nitrates, nitrites, and amonia just to see where you are at. Then I would do a pretty big size water change since one probly hasn't been done in a while. Post your results and go from there

im no skimmer expert. I have a sea clone... works OK but needs to much adjusting. I would like to get a different one. I would just take your skimmer apart the best you can and clean anything you can get to. just run some water through it and make sure its workin as good as when you got it. Then i would run your water tests
