Gfi adapters

Couple questions one do these adapters work like the outlets? reason I ask is because I don't want to find out the hard way. Also if I plug in a power strip into the adapter is that going to effect it or should a buy one for each heat, pump lights ect.....

Buying one for each piece of equipment would be a waste of money in my opinion. I would just install a GFCI outlet and plug the strip into that. But I don't see it affecting the power strip in anyway if you just pluged it into the adapter if that's how you want to do it. Personally I think you could get a good GFCI outlet for cheaper than one of those adapters.

If you install a GFCI outlet in the first outlet of the circuit (closest to the power panel) then it will cover all of the outlets in the circuit. The only better option is to have a GFCI breaker actually installed in the breaker box.
