It is an op-ed and I couldn't find any secondary sources to his story, but could make puppy dogs cry.

Seems to me that I had heard Joe was modeled from a real soldier somewhere before. Could very well be true.
Geez, Brussels? Can't they even come up with a country that WON A WAR to base our best B.A. What are they gonna do next? how much you wanna bet they cast J.C. Van Dumb as Joe?

I *think* NATO is based in Brussels... Maybe that is why they choice there? Who knows... either way, it's a travesty.
