So I have a Yuma rock, and one of the polyps is around 5" diameter.....
Is this thing gonna split by itself sometime? Or just keep growing until it EATS my lionfish?
Any insight would be appreciated.

Slice and dice it!! Use a new razor and slice it like a pizza Seriously. Mushrooms you can usually put in a blender and pour back in your tank with tons!
it may or may not totally depends on the ric itself, usually they split or move under less than Ideal conditions to improve their chances for survival, if its perfectly happy it may never split and just keep growing.
Yuma don't split all that often in my experience. The typical reproductive method is pedal laceration. In other words, it may never split, it will just throw babies off from it's foot.
