girlfriend's gonna kill me - need help

Ok. I totally need someone's help here! i don't know where else to turn to, but i have sort of an emergency...
heres the story. my girlfriend went out of town with her parents like almost 2 weeks ago, and she told me to take care of her pets. ive been real busy, so i FINALLY got around to stopping by this morning (i know i know). but anyways, she has a salt water tank (i think), and theirs all this stuff in it, but she mainly has this eal that know she really liked, and it came out of the tank. i have no idea how, but it was all shrivled up on the floor.
i got so worried about it, cause i knew shed be real mad at me, so i went at got another one at this place by my house - it looks just like it, but i dont know what kind of eal it is, but it is sort of buttery colored with shiny red here and there. its just the same (from what i rememberd it used to look like) but i think it is way to small - the other one was pretty big i think.
QUESTION: how do i fatten up this guy like - QUICK. shes coming back on friday. ive tried a few things already, but nothing seems be happneing.
i would really appriciate any help from you guys you guys seem to know al lot but i dont have time to read all the posts and stuff. my girlfriend is gonna kill me if she finds out about her eal.

The Best Thing To Do Is Tell Her The Truth. It Shows You Care Or You Wouldnt Have Tried To Replace It. There Is No Good Sollution To This> Trying To Fool Her Will Only Piss Her Off> And Land You In More Hot Water Than You Are Already In. So Unless You Have Said To Her Already That You Have Been Going There, But Really Havent, The Truth Will Be Your Bestbet. Sorry.

wheres ur funeral gonna be? lol jk just tell her the truth. that u were just busy and it was HER FAUlT for not making sure the lil eel couldnt get out the tank. but good luck though

One of the biggest things I have found is to never lie to my girlfriend... Why?
Because they ALWAYS. FIND. OUT.

i dont have much experience with this. i already tried to start a tank a couple years ag with no luck. but im real worried right now. ive been feeding it a lot of food and havent put him in the tank yet because the shark looking ones look like they would eat the bits of meat. my friend told me to try cabbage because it has a lot of water in it, but i dont think he knew what i was talking about. im not even sure if its the right eal in the first place because i havent seen her eal in long time.if i dont do something fast i KNOW shes going to kill me and then afterwrds she might break up with me. PLEASE PLEASE, if anyone has any advice besides not lying to her, tell me. besides, this isnt really lying, because either way ive got to do something, and maybe shell see that i at least tried.

Why don't you just tell her "You're eel (not eal lol) jumped out, it wasn't my fault." Why was this even your fault?

No kidding... even if you had stopped by there 1 day after the aledged sucicide it still would of been too late. Casualty of tank keeping IMO and would of happened if she was here or not.

Technically, it would be "YOUR" eel jumped out, it wasn't my fault.

And dude, you should have added more rock salt. That would have kept the salinity down so you're eal never would have jumped out in the first place.

The more we all post, the more we egg him on. If there is any chance he is serious, we've given him all the help he needs. This is already reported to the mods, just wait until they deal with it.

Frankly, with your history, the fact that your gf left you in charge of her pets really doesn't speak too highly of her either.
Yep, definitely think the eel will love the cabbage, should put on a foot or so by Friday for sure!

Please just tell her. First off - she will figure it out. Second - even though she will be upset she will understand. Its not like you purposely did or didn't do something. I have had a fish jump out while I was only gone a few hours, You cant control these things sometimes.

hey it worked fine with the lionfish in Deuce Bigalow.
Of course he was turned into a chocolate frappe shortly afterwards.
