Girlina4x4's tank STAND build!

Ok, this is for a freshwater tank, but I figure other people might be interested in the build.
My beloved betta fish, Gordy, died yesterday. He was in the 18 gallon, and my other betta, Tyson, was in the 15 gallon. Now that Gordy is gone, there is no reason to keep 2 FW tanks. Ive decided to combine the two, but 18 gallons is too small for all of my fishies, so I was looking to get a 20 long, but went with a 29 gallon. Its going to replace the 15 gallon in the living room, so I have to have a decent looking stand. I just went to Home Depot and got most of the wood, I'll take pics as I go along.
I'll post measurements in a bit, I still have to catch my breath after hauling all the wood up the stairs!
Eventually, this planted tank will house:
6 zebra danios
1 betta
3 cory cats
2 diamond tetras
1 peacock eel
1 clown loach
2-5 guppies
2 octos

The dimensions are going to be 31 x 14 to give a bit of space on each side of the tank.
Basically every piece of wood was cut the wrong size at HD, my fault.
4) 36" (The legs - I actually got that right!)
4) 10"
2) 31"
3) 6"
2) 23"
The three sides of plywood and a top. Its going to be open back. The front is going to be one or two cabinet doors. The whole thing will be stained, probably a dark cherry color.

+1 on that one! You can tell a woman is doing it though with that colored neat drawing. I would have just started cutting and putting it together and ended up with pieces that didn't fit. LOL.

I did want to add though after looking at your drawings more closely...I am "assuming" (don't shoot me here) that you have 2X4's there and the dimensions of a 2"X4" is not really 2 inches X 4 inches. Check them because that will throw some of your other pieces off.

You go girl!
A 2x4 is actually 1.5inX3.5in. but... you may be allright as it looks like you'll just be shorter front to back and side to side. By about an inch, but I could be wrong.

Haha thanks guys! Im a pretty hands on person, so Im very excited about this build!
About the 2x4 measurements, I didn't take into account the "actual" length x width. I think I gave myself enough wiggle room, but I have to recut wood anyways so I might just add an extra inch to everything to be safe...

i just built my stand for my 20 long today and it is a very very similar blueprint except no supports on the sides but turned out very stable and i believe should be very dependable. yours moreso probably

Awesome, glad to hear it! I added the side supports since the legs are a bit taller than normal (36 inches) and didnt want it to wobble
