how nice, I bought 4 anenome shrimp today
2 red and white with a hump in the tail
and 2 clear with white
1 of my clear with white imemdiatly made it to my LTA
the otehr 3 scattered
In my research I found info from marine biology dept
about how several anonme crabs and shrimps can all inhabit one anenome and they were talking about how amazing it is how they species co exist
YA RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
co exist my #$%-%
So I just moved one of the red and white shrimps into the anenome
you think the one living in their would be happy to have a roommate (according to that biology dept ) he chased him out in a matter of seconds and my little friend went running like a dog with his tail btwn his legs
Its not like the one in there has been in there long, just 2 hours
I need to fidn that web site again and tell then that their studies are worthless!!

If its a marine biology dept. they are more then likely talking in the wild. And I bet several would coexist in a large anemone, most tank anemones are small maybe 6" in diameter in the wilde you can find easily 2' diameters.

Another issue is whether thats the type of anemone it inhabits in the wild. Not all anemone shrimp go with all anemones. In addition the crab was established in the anemone and like most everything else established, had its own territory and did not want to share. Yes size of the anemone could have alot to do with it as well seeing as the ones in the wild can get pretty big and hold multi-species homes.
