Glass Cages opinions

This is probably a re-run but would like to hear some fresh opinions. They seem to have some decent prices for glass. Have had my eye on the 810 for another project Im considering. Normally Id make it but dont know if I could do one of this size for less in glass. Anyone have experience with their quality?

Very good quality I use them alot.....well built, can be a little sloppy with the silicone, but nothing a little time and a razor blade can't fix.....Don't get their acrylic covers.....Acrylic work is rather low IMO.....Tanks built really well, and will build as you design em'

acrilyc51 is right. I had my 120 for a month and a half and everything is great but I also wasn't happy with the acrilyc cover.

Thanks. Where are they located? Just in the planning stages now but Im thinking I might have to get creative about moving this thing to its final location. May have to rent a flatbed truck to pick it up. Then use a winch to slide it off onto the stand/platform.

They are located in Tennesse excuse the spelling......they ship by motor freight so it won't be an issue with it getting to you....I do know they use Overnite Transportation which is now UPS Freight for their shipments unless you request otherwise.....and with that being said it's up to you with any shipping company to get it in the house or whatever....they aren't responsible for that........
Tom does do drops at various locations, so it might be cheaper to work something out like that if time and location work out.....you'd have to check his schedule on his site......They usually bring 2-3 tractor trailers for delievers, so they are quite busy. I would seriously think about using a forklift.......winch is iffy and wouldn't want any undue stress on the tank as well....you will once you recieve it have to wait roughly 30 days for cure time as well depending if the tank is custom ordered.

Was thinking about a forklift but it is 12FT long. Im afraid it would flex and break or how to get the pallet out from under it after it goes on to the stand. The winch would be used to pull/slide it laterally off the pallet it rests on from the truck bed onto the stand which could be about the same ht as the truck bed and would have HD casters on it. The stand and tank could then be moved into position, then the problem of removing the casters? let me know if you think of anything that might work better? maybe some use of rollers could be employed.

Trust me my boys at Overnite know how to handle that type of freight.....There wouldn't be any flex, you'd have to use long forks on your forklift....and besides the pallet is extra beefy.....I would use PVC pipe instead of casters......pvc is cheap and will do the job.......if you choose to use casters you could use a floor jack to lift the stand a bit, but still have the issue of getting underneath to unscrew.....What about a bunch of furniture dolly movers???? You can get them at Harbor Freight pretty cheap and I think they support like 1500lbs each.......I moved a custom 490 from Tom that way around my shop.......but to get them off my trailer I just use pvc.....if he delievers the tank won't be crated. They only get crated if they are shipped motor truck.
