Does anyone know about these enenomes? I heard they are bad but not sure why and what do i do to get rid of them if i have to or is there something out there that eats them?
Many people say peppermint shrimp will eat them, that sometimes works and sometimes not. Also, you can inject the center with either boiling water or a strong calcium solution with a small syringe, some folks say that works too.
a copperband butterfly will usually eat them as well. i woke up the other morning, looked in the tank and saw my coral beauty ripping my small aptasia off the rock and eating it. who knew? the aptasia was very small and i doubt that most coral beauty will do that.
take over is saying it lightly. i saw a tank a few weeks ago that when you looked into the tank that is all you could see. it was terrible. you may think they look kind of cool when small, but when they start multiplying and get big they are an eyesore. try to get rid of them while you can
They can also sting your corals and possably even kill them. Not exactly what you need in your reef.
If you have any in your tank now, try to remove them before they take over your tank. <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" />
