I use non powdered latex gloves........cheap and serve their purpose

i guess now that i have thought about it for 2 seconds instead of just one, the bristle worms are a very good reason to wear gloves also, dont you just hate it when you pick up that rock and you are just about to put it back in and bam ur like F*** and u drop it on the floor and it shatters, very fun to clean up in carpet

I wouldnt think that you would hurt anything by rinsing them off first before wearing them but whats the point? Why not buy non-powdered gloves instead? If it was me I wouldnt use them in my tank but maybe someone else can speak on them that has used them in their tanks...

Honestly a lot of people do wear gloves to avoid bristle worms, but they should be wearing them to avoid palytoxin. I normally dont wear gloves when working in the tank but I try and wash my hands good after coming into contact with coral. I think you should probably be more concerned with eye protection though because I was squirted in the face by a zoanthid once that gave me a really bad reaction.
The moral of the story is that in order to really protect yourself, take the proper precautions and you shouldnt have anything to worry about.

i freeball it, just wash your hands when you are done. and having a cut on your hands isnt smart if you dont use gloves.
I mean, i was stung my my friends foxface that i was tank sitting, i cant imagine anything being more painful than that from a fish tank...
