Japanese scientists have isolated the color gene in both pigs and a species of bioluminescent jellyfish. They tinkered around and were able to raise piglets that GLOW IN THE DARK!!!! Isn't that crazy? Was on Fox News.

But seriously, why would they do this??? isnt there bigger and better things to study, instead of this???
They didn't do it to make the pigs glow, they did it because a glowing pig is a pretty good indication that their gene-splicing experiments are working This is useful for eventually isolating genes that carry hereditary diseases, and replacing them with healthy ones.
