Gluing stuff to the back glass... REDUX

I tried posting this in "reef tanks", but no one answered so here i go again....

Does anyone here glue things to the back of the tank. I was thinking of gluing a frag square that is covered with zoanthids to the back of my tank on the glass. I already did this with xenia.
Any thoughts as to wether or not this is a good idea. Do you think they will start to migrate across the glass eventually and cover some of it.

Xenia will grow on glass. I've heard that zoanthids will also but have never seen it myself. Bad idea for the xenia since they will completely take over the back glass, but good idea if the zoos will grow on the glass because it will make it easy to frag them.

I figgured that if the Xenia start to take over, i can just scrape individuals off with a razor blade and the same for zoas. Wont the Xenia grow into individuals?

No they really don't . they just kind of expand their size. they are still easy to frag though.

I dunno, there a few local reefers here that have xena on their back wall. It looks really cool. I've never done zoas. But I'm kind of wanting to do that with star polyps..

I've always though Green Star Polyps would look cool. Like grass just swaying in the breeze!!

I boughts some mag-clips which are small magnets for holding equipment. I glued a zoo frag to one, and want to do xenia and gsp on a couple more for the back glass.
I was looking at a thread a few days ago that had zoas and it looked really neat

I have not had the best of luck with xenia anyway. Just trying something new. They usually grow like hell for a few months and then decide to melt away. Just thought I would try it one more time.

zoas on the back? thats what I want. I think it would look cool. So far I have only glued one xenia frag to the back, but want to do more, + some zoas and if I can get them to stick some branching corals.

Would be cool to see how this works. Please post pictures here or start a new thread of your own.
