Big fat NO on the Catalina and the mandarin. Been there and (killed) done that. Beautiful fish, but I didn't heed the warnings I should have. I hope you will!

What do you mean one killed the other?

I love to watch my yellow watchman goby. He has so much personality.
I had my tank set up for 8 months before I added any fish. I have two mandarin gobys, male and female, that are doing great. They were my first fish. With mandarins you must have an established tank with lots of bugs before you add them. They are beautiful. My yellow watchman will chase them off if they get to close to his cave.

I don't think I got a clear answer...at least one that i could understand. Can I add a mandarin to a tank with a pink-spotted goby? How about blennies? In other words, what fish shouldn't I put in there?

with the tank size you have I don't see any problem adding the gobies you want. Just make sure if u go with mandarins that your tank has been set up a while. Gobies are terretorial. But not space hogs. I hope this answered your question.

I've had a Yellow Wtchman for about 2 months. He is very active. He has his hiding spots but comes out when he sees me. He is housed with a Lawnmower, 2 yelowtail damsels, pygmy angel, 1 perc, and a royal Gramma.

Alex you do not need a shrimp for any goby... and any pistol shrimp will not pair up with any goby. I do have a bullseye pistol shrimp, but his species does not usually form relationships with gobies. Despite him having many gobies in his tank, he remains solitary... but still cool... Although pistol shrimp use their snap to stun prey in the wild, I have never experienced any aggresion beyond defending their territory. Mine snaps whenever a hermit crab comes near or when I feed and he's scurrying around eating. There are many species available that will form a bond though... Here's my bullseye when he was in the nano... he's now "moved on up to the East Side" and is in the 54...

I have heard good things about the yellow but I have also read about a lemon goby. Anyone have experience with these??

what kind of pistol shrimp should it get? Brooklyn jonny said that bullseye pistol stays by it's self. I want one that will pair with my goby. :notsure:
