Goby keepers- is there a chance?

I got one last saturday. I put it in the qt and then monday i had problems with the qt so i decided to move it to the tank since there was nothing else in the tank. I acclimated it for about 2 hours and then put it in the tank. It is a 26 gal tank with 50 lbs of lr. He darted right into the rock and I havent' seen it since. I'm assuming that it is dead. What do you think the chances are that it will pop its head out of the rockwork one of these days or weeks. It was very skittish in the qt and hid under a rock the entire time but did come out to eat once or twice. I just hope that he didn't go into too much shock from being acclimated twice in a few days and have major temp swings while in the qt.

I think there's a fairly good chance you'll see it dart out in the near future to grab a bite to eat.

White rayed prawn goby I posted pictures on here about a week and a half ago. I just haven't even seen a trace of him. I don't know if i should continue to put food in the tank seeing that it is the only fish in there. I've tried catching a glimps of him at all hours of the day and night with different lights on and off and haven't seen anything move. that is why i was wondering if i get a pistol shrimp if he will come out or at least show himself. I've read an article in Aquarium fish magazine that they can sense eachother from fairly long distances and that is how they pair up.

I've got a watchman goby that my hawkfish nearly killed. He picks on him constantly.I am in the process of trying to (STILL) catch him.Well....the goby disappeared and I feared he was a goner.I did'nt see him for 3 months! One day while I was feeding the other fish,he poped out from a little cave he constructed to get away from the hawkfish. So,I think you will see the goby again once he finds his territory in his new tank.

Well I know he is alive. The kitten got under the stand and somehow messed up the timer for the actinic lights. It was shinning into the bedroom at 2 this morning and i went out to turn it off. The goby was just sitting there right in front. Its wierd because i have the actinics on about 6 hours before my mh come on and he has never come out before. Well at least i know he is alive and hope to get a pistol shrimp to make him feel more at home.
