Watchman gobies are notororious for jumping out of tanks and finding their way into overflows. A copepod looks like a very small sideways shrimp, Mabey 1/8". Some gutter guard or scren around the overflow will prevent your watchman from trying to investigate. HTH

First off, I thought mandarins were supposed to take care of copepods. I have one and she's pretty fat. Second, at night I see these things that I think look like potato bugs that walk on their sides. I guess they could be discribed as sideways shrimp. Anyway, are they a big deal? I heard they are an annoyance. Could this be a possible reason for my bubble coral problem (in other topic)?

Copepods are desirable, and yes mandarins take care of them, but on the other hand manadarins need them in order to survive so I guess you could also say copepods take care of mandarins :D
